Poll Results

Here are the results from my very small, short and unscientific poll regarding the use of landline phones. As you can see, 28% of respondents either can't live without their landlines or use the landline 50% of the time. The remaining 72% have either never heard of a landline phone or rarely use it all. The results are even more skewed to cell phones than the results discussed in Landlines Go the Way of the Dinosaur - probably because of my readership, but in either case, the trend is pretty clear. If you're a manufacturer of landline phones for consumers - not enterprise class telephony - it might be time to diversify!

The problem is getting a mobile broadband connection that competes with a landline broadband connection...at the moment, at least in the UK, the mobile download limits are too restrictive for heavy users
