the incandescent bulb will soon be a thing of the past. As part of the Clean Energy Act of 2007, the bulbs will begin to be phased out in 2012 and be a thing of the past two years later.

Apparently the UK is planning to do this as well by 2011. The one problem is theres so much talk about how flourescent lighting can cause migraines and even in Britain about skin problems.
