According to an advertisement in today’s print edition of The New York Times, there have been more than 300 million downloads of applications for the iPhone. CNBC’s Jim Goldman – who, presumably still receives a print edition of the Times – notes that this means that there have been roughly 100 million downloads in just the last six weeks, since Apple reported 200 million downloads on an October 21st conference call.
