Web 2.0: 7 Things You Should Know About...

The EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) has a great monthly series called 7 Things You Should Know About... Each brief provides a concise two-page synopsis on a single emerging learning technology, describing:
  • What it is
  • How it works
  • Where it is going
  • Why it matters to teaching and learning
Suggested uses include:
  • faculty development,
  • bringing senior administrators up to speed (always a good thing), and
  • keep yourself up-to-date
They're not all strictly Web 2.0, but great resources nonetheless. Surprisingly, ELI doesn't provide an RSS feed to keep up-to-date with their briefings. Spend some time exploring the site.
